IT Infrastructure and Security Engineer (m/f/d)

As an IT Infrastructure & Security Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the IT infrastructure with a strong focus on IT security. You will provide support in carrying out network and firewall checks, implementing security measures and ensuring the continuous maintenance and improvement of the infrastructure to guarantee high availability and security.

According to the collective agreement, a minimum salary of Euro 3,175 gross per month applies to your position. Depending on your experience and qualifications, we offer an overpayment in line with the market.

Your tasks

• Support and optimization of the IT infrastructure with a focus on network technology and IT security.
• Implementation and management of IT security solutions (e.g. firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS systems).
• Assist in the planning and implementation of IT security projects, including the introduction of SOC and SIEM in collaboration with the infrastructure team.
• Administration of mobile device management, in particular using Microsoft Intune.
• Perform system and service hardening through secure configurations (e.g. via GPOs).
• Contribute to projects to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. ISO 27001, NIS2) and further development of the ISMS.
• Analyze and resolve network and security incidents, implementing countermeasures as part of the security incident response.
• Monitor and manage software updates and security vulnerabilities as part of vulnerability and patch management.
• Work closely with the IT team to ensure high level network availability and security.

Your profile

• Strong knowledge of network technology and IT security, with experience in managing firewalls, VPNs, and similar technologies.
• Experience in administering server infrastructures (Linux and Windows).
• Familiarity with managing Windows Group Policies and general Windows administration.
• Hands-on experience in implementing IT security solutions and actively enforcing security measures.
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible and the use of YAML is a plus.
• Knowledge of implementing and managing security concepts, with the ability to independently execute security measures.
